Wow did this take a few days to make.
This is meant as a tribute in several ways. The characters are Rosalina and her Mother - whom is never actually seen in any Mario game yet.
The art style is meant to work similarly to the art style of the original Storybook that is used in Mario Galaxy to tell Rosalina's backstory. I just find it to be an endearing thing to watch so I tried to emulate that style.
The song is actually very appropriate considering who's singing it. When I finished the comic i swapped the final two panels because I think it actually comes across as a bit sombre and weepy this way.
Arguably one of the most emotionally charged pieces I've ever done.
