5 Worst Mario Kart moments
With Mario Kart 7 coming out soon I felt it would be interesting to write about the five worst moments in Mario Kart history. Not in any particular order, just as and when I get to them.
This one is one of the few points in the list I seriously had to stop and reconsider. Mario Kart has always been about Go-Karting throught various thematic levels. Mario Kart Wii allowed us to use Motorbikes for the first time ever. The differences between the Kart and Bikes were simply that Karts got a bigger boost around corners, but Bikes could wheely. Wheely-ing limits your Bike's control but gives you a gradual speed boost. Using it sparingly in races will probably not make much difference, but using it on EVERY. SINGLE. STRAIGHT. means that even at corners, Karts have a tough time keeping up. The other half of Wheelying is that it makes you invincible to the effects of certain items. This means a player in First with a Bike has little to worry about from a second place player.
Pokemon ShortTwist Mountain was living up to it's name. Jimmy found himself wandering back and forth endlessly. His partner Pokémon was a Dewott, having evolved from his starting Oshawott, nicknamed Wotta.
"I can't believe this," he was saying to his partner, "I know this place is supposed to be a natural maze but you'd think after being lost for several hours we'd be a bit closer to the end."
"Dewott..." Wotta was looking around forlornly.
"Is anyone there?"
Jimmy and Wotta looked ahead, someone was walking towards them, the voice sounded young and before either could note anything else Jimmy was tackled off his feet by a glomping Bianca.
"Oh my gosh," she squealed, "I'm so lost I thought I was gonna die here!!"
"Calm... down..." Jimmy gasped as her hug cut off all the circulation from the waist up.
"You'll help me get out won't you?" the puppy-dog look she gave made even Wotta feel sympathetic.
