Smash Bros Stages

Smash Bros has always been about the characters. Who should be in, who shouldn't. Everyone has their personal list of characters who SHOULD be in the next game.
But what about Stages?

See, almost as important as the characters are the Stages. Every Smash Bros game comes with it's own set of new stages and gimmicks. Smash Bros Brawl has probably introduced more stages then any other Smash game, and also allowed for the Stage Editor that allows you to create your own custom stages. To be honest there are many Stages in Brawl that could come back and nobody would really notice.

But today I'd like to take a look at some of the stage ideas and hopefully people will come to think of this in a more serious way.

WuHu Island
First Appearance: Wii Sports Resort

WuHu Island is a holiday resort for Mii characters. It's a lovely place with many things to see and do. What makes me laugh is that this idea was never implemented in Brawl. The Mii characters could easily be placed in the background of the stage and perhaps weapons from the series could be used as weapons here; Archery Bows, Sparring Swords, etc.
Whilst it's hard for me to think of a specific location, I'm thinking something similar to Isle Delfino would make this work; a platform that rises and moves between locations.

Bowser's Castle
First Appearance: Super Mario Bros

Somewhat of another no-brainer. Bowser's Castle is one of the most iconic locations in Mario games. Bowser's not-so-humble dwelling features lava, Thwomps, fireballs, rotating pillars and other tricks and traps that makes one wonder why it was never included in Smash before. Besides, Bowser kinda needs a home-field advantage in the future.

The Sealed Grounds
First Appearance: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

This to me is one of those stages that might never work. The Sealed Grounds is a spiral-shaped pit that doesn't leave much artistic license. The Sealed Grounds is used to keep the Imprisoned sealed away. In Smash the stage could take place in a cross-section of the Pit, with one or two ledges to one side. The gimmick of course is that every now and again the Imprisoned becomes unsealed and wanders up the pit. If it stomps on any one character they would take damage. When it wanders past it is hit by one of Groose's Bombs, causing it to be resealed. Yes I know this probably isn't the most inspired Stage design ever but I think it really would work.

N's Castle
First Appearance: Pokémon Black/White Versions

Another villainous location. N's Castle is the final story-based area of Pokémon Black and White, and is where you face the Legendary Pokémon Reshiram AND Zekrom. This to me makes this place a pretty solid place for a Smash bros fight, and if you liked the idea of playable Zekrom and Reshiram then you'll probably love this Stage idea.
If you were to flip the prespective of the final room in N's Castle 90 degrees to the left/right you'd actually have something similar to the Bridge of Eldin going on.
If you don't like the idea of Zekrom and Reshiram being seperate playable characters, then they could easily be the stage hazards for this stage. Alternatively N could be playable, riding Zekrom and Reshiram.

Seeing as how Kid Icarus isn't out yet, I can't really pick a stage from that game. Similarly there are problems with trying to pick a Star Fox stage or a Fire Emblem Stage. The reason that the generic stages were picked for Brawl was precisely because of this issue.

Galactic Federation Bottle Ship
First Appearance: Metroid Other M

The Bottle Ship is actually the "world" of Other M and I'm only listing it because it's one of those things where I have to list something from Metroid. TO be honest I played Other M but didn't get as far simply because I wasn't enjoying it. I think many people would rather forget Other M to be honest.

Good Egg Galaxy
First Appearance: Super Mario Galaxy

As is Mario's ego needs any more boosting with more Mario stages! However this idea would follow the basic concept of Brinstar Depths by featuring a rotating stage. Perhaps there are smaller platforms high above and you can use a Star Cannon to shoot up to it.

Sol Sancutm
First Appearance: Golden Sun

Golden Sun is a favourite series of mine and it's one of the that has actually made an appearance in Smash without being playable. The original hero Isaac from the first game appears in Smash as one of the Assist Trophies. This would take Golden Sun within Smash to the next level by introducing Sol Sanctum, the first real dungeon and thus a major plot point for Golden Sun.

And I#m gonna stop now because at this point I'm rambling. Ideas? Comments? Tell me below!
